- PRECISION BRAND 316 Stainless Steel Shim Stock is made from a soft (annealed) temper material
- Type 316 Stainless Steel has better corrosion resistance to most chemicals, salts and acids and most marine atmosphere because of an addition of 2.0 to 3.0% molybdenum
- Fabrication characteristics of type 316 are similar to type 302 or 304. Type 316 is used extensively in chemical and food processing equipment, photographic, pharmaceutical, marine, and textile finishing equipment.
