With an interrupted thread, 1567 hand taps for NPTF threads are designed to reduce the force required when tapping many materials including steel, cast iron, aluminum and stainless steel. The bright finish means workpiece material will not stick to the cutting edges of the tool for clean and accurate threads, whilst the High Speed Steel used in manufacture provides superior performance and longer tool life. Conforming to the American National Standards Institute, 1567 UB hand taps come with straight flutes, designed for threading through and blind holes.
