1568 straight flute hand taps for NPT threads will efficiently thread both through and blind holes. They are manufactured to conform to the American National Standards Institute and are made from High Speed Steel, providing taps with longer tool life and better performance. The bright finish ensures clean and accurate threads by preventing workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool whilst the special interrupted thread design reduces the force needed when tapping a range of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, steel and cast iron.
