1572 hand taps are application products, used for creating threads to suit helicoil inserts in many non-ferrous materials, including aluminum. They are manufactured from High Speed Steel, ensuring superior performance and longer tool life and conform to the American National Standards Institute. With a straight flute for hand tapping through and blind holes, 1572 UNC/ UNF hand taps have a bright finish which prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool, giving cleaner, more accurate threads.
