Manufactured from premium High Speed Steel for great performance and longer tool life, and conforming to the American National Standards Institute, 1582 machine taps for UNified Coarse and UNified Fine threads come with a regular 30 degree spiral flute for threading blind holes. They are very versatile, being suitable for tapping a wide variety of materials including cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel and steel, and have a bright finish to ensure accurate threads by preventing workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool.
